Food Menu Cards & Poster

This project is a redesigned version of one of my older works. When I eat at Chinese restaurants with non-Asian friends, I’ve noticed they often struggle to figure out what certain dishes might taste like, and it’s hard to guess the flavors just from certain names or a pictures. To make things easier (and less intimidating), I created a set of menu cards with illustrations of the dishes and bar charts showing the flavor profiles. Hopefully, this design can make ordering unfamiliar dishes at Chinese restaurants less intimidating.

I also designed a poster that plays with the action of chopsticks picking up letters, resembling food pieces. For the dishes, I abstracted the food into geometric shapes and used a limited color palette to create a clean and
cohesive look.
